On Friday 16 April 2021, Jere Espo from Vantaan Energy LTD gave a presentation on Boric acid in feed water systems.
Boric acid is not a typical chemical species encountered in conventional power generation water treatment. Knowledge of the conventional cycle chemistry behaviour of low boron concentrations is almost absent. Boron can be found in natural waters and in flue gas condensate. Its removal and getting onto accepted concentration level require special measures and energy in water treatment section.
The presentation and video from this event can be found in the MEMBERS AREA under SIAPWS Workshops. There you can also find presentations and videos from previous events.
If you don’t have access to the MEMBERS AREA, just sign up, and you will get access. You or your company needs to be a member of SIAPWS or of any of the national groups to get access.
